Woodbridge High tennis player Patrick Lipscomb continued to win this summer, capturing the title at the 18th Annual Costa Mesa Summer Classic last month.  

Lipscomb won the boys 18s singles title, beating another' Irvine player.  Lipscomb defeated University High's Kona Luu in the finals, 6-1, 6-0. 

Lipscomb, who was the No. 2 seed, won five matches overall.  He dropped a total of one set in those five matches and most of his wins were easy. 

Congratulations to the following Warriors named to the 2010 Irvine All-City Boys Tennis team, published by the Irvine World News:

Woodbridge 12, Newport Harbor 6:  The Warriors (19-2) easily swept through every singles match against the Sailors in a second round CIF match Friday afternoon at Newport Harbor High School.  Woodbridge now moves on to the CIF-SS Division 1 Quarterfinals this Tuesday.
