Warriors Boys Tennis lose tough match to Northwood

Woodbridge 7, Northwood 11:  The #7-ranked Warriors Boys Tennis team played hard but just not good enough against Northwood on Thursday at the Woodbridge Tennis Center.  The Warriors singles won five out of nine sets but the double teams could only pull out two of nine sets.  Many of the sets were close but the #5-ranked Timberwolves was just a little better.

Boys Tennis Team Closes Out Season Today

After beating Huntington Beach 16-2 on Tuesday, Woodbridge is ready for the final showdown with crosstown rival Northwood.  The match today at the Woodbridge Tennis Center will determine the Sea View League champion for 2008.  The #7-ranked Warriors lost a close match to the #5-ranked Timberwolves earlier this season and is looking for a different result this time.

Boys Tennis bounces back, beats Newport Harbor

Woodbridge 15, Newport Harbor 3:  After a tough loss to Northwood Tuesday, Woodbridge bounced back to beat Newport Harbor Wednesday afternoon at the WHS Tennis Center.  The Warriors swept all 9 singles sets and won 6 of the 9 doubles sets.

Warriors loses to Northwood in Boys Tennis battle

Woodbridge 7, Northwood 11:  The Warriors lost a hard fought battle to crosstown rival Northwood on Tuesday afternoon at Northwood.  Woodbridge's #1 singles player Andre Halabi swept all three sets while the Warriors #1 and #2 doubles teams both won two out of three sets.  The two league rivals will meet again later in the season.

Boys JV Tennis Loves to Win

Warriors Junior Varsity Tennis Team has shown dominance and perseverence in compiling an 8-2 record in the first month of the 2008 season. (See Schedule for all scores.) At home against Mater Dei on March 11, they were down by 6 games at the half, and rallied to win, 9-7. The next day at Irvine, our Warriors were down 3-5 at the half, but won 6 of 8 to win the match, 9-7.
