Girls Advance to State

All three of the Woodbridge Masters entries advanced to the State Championships on Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2 at Sacramento, California. At left, Cassie Stanislaw leaps over Long Beach Wilson's fallen baton to finish the Girls 4x400m Relay with a 3rd Place finish and another School Record.
REVIEW: Running comfortably and under control, Christine Babcock finished 3rd in the 1600 and 4th in the 3200 (she only needed a 5th place or better finish) to earn one of the State spots. Running with a lot more urgency, the 4x400 relay team set another school record (3:49:45) in finishing 3rd in the race and made the trip to Sacramento. Kyle Wolff ran 56.8, Sarah Toberty ran 58.6, Christine Babcock ran 57.0, and Cassie Stanislaw ran 56.6.
The State championships will be televised live starting at 5:00pm on the Prime Ticket Station (63 on Cox Cable and 411 on the Dish satellite station).
