Back to Back Wins for Girls Lacrosse!
4/21/2008 Girls LacrosseWoodbridge 12, Dana Hills 7: The Lady Warriors won their second game in a row and improved to 5-1 against other first year programs with a 12-7 victory over Dana Hills Monday afternoon. The two teams traded leads until a scoring streak led by juniors Elise Tang and Quinn Stewart and freshman Kara Hericks allowed the Warriors to pull away midway through the second half. Junior goalie Rachael Hudson made several clutch stops down the stretch to preserve the victory.
Away games against Northwood, Los Alamitos, and Huntington Park close out the season for the Warriors.
Girls Lacrosse Beats Crosstown Rival
4/20/2008 Girls LacrosseWoodbridge 12, Irvine 6: Girls Lacrosse completed a season sweep of Irvine, defeating the Vaqueros 12-6 on Friday. Irvine jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but the draw control and scoring of junior Elise Tang and shooting of freshman Kara Hericks lead the lady Warriors to victory. Junior Rachael Hudson had another fine game in goal, aided by strong defensive efforts by sophomores Karen Cheng and Ellen Boyer. With only fifteen girls able to dress for the game, it truly was a full team effort to overcome an aggressive, athletic Vaquero squad.

4/15/2008 Girls LacrosseWoodbridge 10, JSerra 8: The Lady Warriors returned from break with a flourish, defeating a tenacious JSerra team 10-8 Monday evening.
Girls Lacrosse Wins Overtime Thriller!
3/22/2008 Girls LacrosseWoodbridge 10, Northwood 9 (OT): The Lady Warriors won a hard fought battle against league and city rival Northwood on Friday, 10-9, taking the lead for the only time all game with a minute left in the second overtime half. Birthday girl Elise Tang scored five goals and junior goalie Rachael Hudson had a season-high 17 saves.
The team plays Newport Harbor at Alton Park on Wednesday at 4:00pm.
First Victory in Girls Lacrosse History!
3/4/2008 Girls LacrosseWoodbridge 4, Irvine 0: Anchored by the shutout goaltending of junior Rachael Hudson and standout defense of Jackie Sly, Tarryn de Charmoy Bouchet, Rachel Palfini, and Karen Cheng, the Warrior’s Girls Lacrosse team (1-1) posted the first victory in program history. Come out to support the team 3:30pm Wednesday and Friday at Alton Park!
