Track & Field Girls Vie for OC Championship on Saturday
Woodbridge's Girls Track and Field team, ranked #2 in Orange County, will challenge for the top spot at this Saturday's Orange County Championships at Mission Viejo High School.
#1 ranked Dana Hills, Mission Viejo, and several other good girls teams will also challenge this weekend. The Warriors will be led by senior Christine Babcock, the county leader in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter races. Seniors Kyle Wolff (400m, 300m hurdles), Sarah Toberty (800m), Becky Crouse (shot put, discus), and Erica Teen (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles), junior Nicole Belz (pole vault), and freshmen Gabrielle Scott (200m, 400m) and Gia Trevisan (100m) are all expected to contribute to the Woodbridge point total.
The Boys team will be led by seniors Scott Muniz (110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, triple jump), Jordan Wozniak (1600m), Hector De Los Santos (300m hurdles), and Philip Tramposh (high jump) and juniors Shane Berglas (3200m) and Adam Garrett (400m).
Woodbridge's events begin at 8:45am with the Boys 1600. The Girls begin at 9:05am with the 100m High Hurdles. Complete Woodbridge OC Championships Entry List/Times.
