Track League Finals Finish with 10 Advancing to CIF
The 2008 Sea View League Track and Field Championships completed Friday evening at Irvine Stadium with ten Warriors advancing to the CIF Prelims next Saturday. View the League Finals Results.
The Girls Varsity team placed third in the League Championships behind Trabuco Hills and El Toro. The Boys Varsity placed fifth.
The Woodbridge athletes advancing to CIF include:
- Christine Babcock (1600m, 3200m, 4x400m Relay)
- Becky Crouse (Discus)
- Hector De Los Santos (300m Intermediate Hurdles)
- Gabrielle Scott (200m, 400m, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay)
- Erica Teen (100m High Hurdles, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay)
- Sarah Toberty (800m, 4x400m Relay)
- Bree Todd (4x100 Relay)
- Philip Tramposh (High Jump)
- Gia Trevisan (4x100m Relay)
- Kyle Wolff (400m, 800m, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay)
Christine Babcock broke the meet record of Polly Plummer (University, 1981, 4:52.40) in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:52.04. Kyle Wolff broke the meet record of Tanya Ransom (El Toro, 1982, 56.10) in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.01 which also placed her second on the Warriors all-time best performers list.
Becky Crouse won the Girls Discus with a personal best throw of 119' 8½". Crouse is currently fourth on the all-time best list.
Hector De Los Santos finished third in the 300m Hurdles with a personal best time of 39.75, placing him fifth on the all-time best list. Erica Teen also finished third in the 100m Hurdles with a personal best of 16.25 placing her third on the all-time best list.

The CIF Southern Section Division II Prelims begin on Saturday, May 10th at noon at Moorpark High School. The top qualifiers in each event will advance to the CIF/SS Division II Finals on Saturday, May 17th at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
