Babcock named OC Register Girls Athlete of the Year

Senior Christine Babcock was named the Orange County Register's Girls Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row. The award was presented Tuesday evening at the annual Register and OCVarsity.com awards banquet.
"The event, held at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin, brought together the stars who shined the brightest in the county in 2007-08 by winning the top honor in their sport."

Christine will be running this Sunday at the Southern California High Performance Meet at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. She will be competing in the 1500 meters, an Olympic distance, in order to improve her chances of being able to compete at the USATF Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon later this month.
