The Warriors baseball program would like to welcome the new baseball coaching staff and introduce the new staff members to the community.

Tim Murray is Woodbridge’s new Varsity Head Baseball Coach and History teacher. He coached and taught for nine years at El Dorado High School in Placentia. He is a former player and member of the 1989 5A CIF Championship team at El Dorado. After high school, he attended UC Riverside, where he earned a BA in history and his teaching credential. He then continued his education, receiving his MA in counseling from Azusa Pacific University. He then spent three years teaching history and was the varsity pitching coach at Montclair High before returning to his alma mater. Coach Murray and his wife, Shani, live in Placentia and are the proud parents of two toddlers, Jordyn Nicole, and John Paul (J.P.). Coach Murray comes from an educational background. His father, Steve is the Dean of Math and Science at Cal State Fullerton and his mother, Nancy was the Principal El Modena before retiring in 2005. His sister, Andrea is a professor in the Archeology Department at Cal State Fullerton.

Jim Fifer will serve as our hitting coach, assist with the infielders, and work with our catchers. Assistant Coach Fifer graduated from Long Beach Wilson in 1987. He attended LBCC, earning All-South Coast Conference honors as a third baseman. He then went to Cal Lutheran University where he earned All-West Region honors as a utility player, leading the Kingsmen to a National final runner-up. Coach Fifer’s coaching career began at Wilson as the Freshman Head Coach before he joined Cal Lutheran for two years. After helping Coach Murray for one season on the JV level at El Dorado, Coach Fifer returned to the Long Beach area as an assistant coach at Long Beach Millikan where he remained for 5 years before returning to El Dorado for the 2007 season. He and his wife Angie have one son, BJ, and they live in Lakewood.

Josh Reidt will assist with the pitchers and be in charge of strength & conditioning. Coach Reidt was the varsity pitching coach and head of strength and conditioning at all levels for the past two seasons at Laguna Beach High School. Coach Reidt pitched in college at the University of San Francisco and is currently training athletes out of The Sports Performance Institute in Laguna Beach.

JV Head Coach - Chris LePage will return as Head JV Coach. Coach LePage also teaches History at Woodbridge.
