Cristiano to be inducted into NAU Hall of Fame Friday

Former Warrior Sierra Cristiano (2000) will be inducted into the Northern Arizona University Hall of Fame Friday evening in Flagstaff, Arizona.  While playing Women's Soccer for the Lumberjacks for two years (2002-03), Sierra earned several Big Sky awards including All-Academic selections.  Read the article on NAU’s website about the ceremony.

Alternate PSAT Date Available for Athletes

An alternate testing date for this year's PSAT, scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, is available for athletes who have a game or meet conflict on the original date.  10th and 11th grade cross country athletes, and others who have a similar conflict, should contact Ms. Figge by e-mail or at 936-7812 immediately (this week).

Warriors Football fires up Hell Week

Warriors Football during August Hell Week practiceVarsity, JV, and Freshman Football players began Hell Week on August 25th, preparing for the regular season.  Players practiced twice a day and were on the field generally between 8:00am to 5:00pm every day.  Even with the heat and long hours, practices were spirited and in continual motion.

Watley Completes Olympic Run with Silver Medal

Former Warrior Natasha WatleyThe USA Women's Olympic Softball team lost 3-1 to Japan today to finish with the Silver Medal at the Beijing Olympics.

  

Former Warrior Natasha Watley (2001) was 1 for 4 in the game as she had one of the five hits off of Japan pitcher Yukiko Ueno.  During the Olympic softball tournament, Natasha got at least one hit in eight of the nine games, finishing with a .321 average including 9 hits, 2 home runs, 2 stolen bases, 6 runs scored, and 6 runs batted in.

2008 Woodbridge FootballWarriors Football is having an Alumni get-together before the Woodbridge-Irvine football game on Friday, September 12th at 6:00pm.  Hot dogs and a soda, then onto the sidelines during the game.  Please e-mail Coach Gibson (rgibson@iusd.org) with your RSVP.

Watley and USA Softball Closes Out Bound 4 Beijing Tour

USA Softball Bound 4 Beijing Tour, sponsored by KFC

The USA Softball Women's National team closed out their Bound 4 Beijing tour with a 6-2 exhibition win against Team Intensity at Deanna Manning Stadium (Bill Barber Memorial Park) on Saturday evening.

  

Former Warrior Natasha Watley was 2 for 4 in the game including a leadoff single in the second inning to get the USA team scoring started.
